About Our Academy

Founded one especially sunny spring in the heart of Newlyn, Lovely Learning Academy began with a simple idea: that rabbits and bears learn best when they're happy, well-fed, and surrounded by colour.

Our schoolhouse

Our little granite schoolhouse

Our home is a snug old Cornish schoolhouse of weathered granite, with round little doors (and rather larger ones for the bears). Inside you'll find sunshine-yellow walls, reading nooks lined with hay, and windows that look out over the rooftops to the sea.

Cornish granite

Rooted in Cornwall

We're proud of where we are. The same granite that shelters us has stood on these moors for millions of years — a fine reminder to our pupils that good things are built to last. We take learning walks to the tors, the cliffs and the clover fields, rain or shine.

Kindness first

Every paw is welcome, every wobble is cheered.

Curiosity always

Questions are encouraged — even the nibbly ones.

Naps respected

A well-rested cub is a clever cub. (The bears insisted.)
